Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update for Physiotherapist, Clinical Pilates, Dietitian and Podiatrist appointments at Archibald Health Centre.

At Archibald Health Centre (AHC), the health and well-being of our patients, staff & community are our number one priority, and we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. As a health care provider, we will continue to uphold our high hygiene and infection control standards, policies and procedures. With the evolving coronavirus situation, we have implemented a number of additional measures to help protect our patients and staff.  In these currently challenging times we are doing our best to continue to provide the optimal care for everyone while at the same time maintain safety for all patients and staff. With fluctuating restrictions throughout Australia we are doing the following to comply with all current health directives:

COVID SAFETY PLAN at AHC for staff and clients:

  • All our team members are vaccinated against Covid-19.

  • Face masks will be worn by all attending clients and staff.

  • Social distancing by maintaining confined space limits & separating waiting area furniture.

  • Greeting with a smile and a wave rather than shaking hands.

  • Hand sanitiser is available on entry and throughout the clinic and we are constantly cleaning all common surfaces.

  • Clients will be asked to swipe/tap their own private health/eftpos cards rather than passing their cards to administrative staff.

  • Please fill in forms online where possible or bring your own pen if you are filling out a paper based form.

  • Magazines or other common area reading material have been removed.

  • Water dispenser have been removed and clients are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.

  • One on one consultations only with additional members of the patient’s party currently not allowed into the consultation room except for extenuating circumstances and currently reside or are a family member of the client.

  • Telehealth appointments are being offered to minimise the need for face to face consultations where ever suitable.

  • Clients are asked to only arrive at the time of their appointment and can otherwise wait in their car to be let know when the clinician is ready to take them in.

  • Pilates studio clients must be double vaccinated by 31st January 2022 to continue sessions.

As of the 31st of January 2022, clients will need to provide proof of vaccination when attending the AHC clinic. If you are fully vaccinated, please show your proof of vaccination upon entering the building. For those who are not fully vaccinated, we have the following options for appointments below:

  • Telehealth appointments: a link will be sent to your email address and AHC will be able to conduct the appointment online (video or phone)

  • Phone appointments: AHC will be able to ring you at the time of your appointment and conduct the session over the phone

  • In clinic Physiotherapy and Podiatry appointments may be organized upon special arrangements – client must wear a mask, not be symptomatic, appointments will be booked to specific blocks

A telehealth consultation (for both phone and video consults) can be claimed as part of the Medicare-subsidised care plans for Eating Disorder Management, Chronic Disease Management and Department of Veteran's Affairs Gold Card Holders.
