Physiotherapy can assist you during pregnancy with:

Women can sometimes feel better with their usual pains with pregnancy, and some can feel worse and develop new pains with pregnancy.  Our Physiotherapists can assess and let you know what to expect as your pregnancy progresses and provide you with a treatment plan and option to help manage your problem throughout your pregnancy.

PREGNANCY NUTRITION

Dietitians can assist you during pregnancy with:

Good nutrition during pregnancy is critical, both for the developing baby and its mum. So to keep healthy and give your baby the best start, choose a wide variety of healthy foods during pregnancy.

Dietitians provide expert advice on issues such as:

  • Pregnancy and lactation

  • Diabetes in pregnancy

  • Weight management

  • Reproductive health, including polycystic ovarian syndrome

  • Pelvic floor dysfunction causing bowel symptoms such as incontinence and constipation

A dietitian will assess your medical and nutritional problems, identify appropriate interventions and support you in making diet and lifestyle changes where necessary.  Dietitians work as part of multidisciplinary teams and liaise with other health professionals involved in your care.

GESTATIONAL DIABETES 

The first line of treatment for GDM is diet and physical activity.

Get started with your Diabetes management at a time suitable to you and your work/family commitments. Our dual qualified Dietitian/Credentialled Diabetes Educators can help you with setting you up with:

  • NDSS registration

  • Setting up of glucometer

  • Monitoring blood glucose level and how to interpret the results

  • Nutritional assessment for eating in pregnancy

  • Tailored meal plan to manage glucose control and meet the requirements during pregnancy

Appointments are available in clinic or online via skype. Private health rebates are available.
