(for dietitian and diabetes education only)

Don't have a Dietitian or Diabetes Educator close by?

Want to reduce travel time?

Too busy to leave your home/office?

Difficulty with transport?

See a Dietitian in the comfort of your own space.

We are reaching out to help make sessions easier and more accessible by providing sessions through Skype. Using Skype with a webcam allows you to see your dietitian through the consult, just like if you were sitting in her office.

Skype is a software application that allows users to chat over the internet for free. If you have a webcam you can share a video conversation with another user. If required, your dietitian will email any handouts to you. These will be in pdf format so can be read on any computer. If you don't already have software to read this type of file you can download Adobe Reader (free).

You can book online  - Select Dietitian/Skype consultation/Mandy Chan. Choose a time that suits you.

Or call our office on 6114 8739 to book an appointment.

You will get a confirmation email with all the details you need prior to your session.

  1. Book a Skype appointment (International clients may prefer to use the contact form)

  2. Download Skype (available on PC/laptop for Windows and Mac; smartphones and tablets for Android and Apple)

  3. Create a Skype login with your email address (if you don't already have this)

  4. Click on this link to fill out a form with your details before your session

  5. Organise payment, if required (see details below)

  1. Log on to Skype ahead of your appointment time.

  2. Check that your microphone, speakers and webcam are working properly.

  3. Your dietitian will start a Video Call at your appointment time.

  1. Create a consultation space.

  2. The consultation will be the same as if you were sitting in our office. You will be asked questions about your eating habits and food intake and any symptoms you may be experiencing that may be related to food. You will need to be in a quiet space, away from distractions; you will need a place that you feel comfortable talking about personal issues about your food and eating habits. Some tips that might help you include:

    • If you have a laptop take it to your bedroom or office, or somewhere else that you can close the door.

    • Make sure the kids (and pets!) have distractions or are looked after by someone else.

    • Find a comfortable seat where you can see the webcam and screen easily as you will be  sitting for an hour during your first consultation.

    • Have a pen and paper ready to write notes down during the session.

  3. If you have any things (product samples, food diary, medications etc) that you want to share  with your dietitian, make sure you organise these ahead of time so they are within easy  reach.

  4. If you have any particular questions that you would like to ask your dietitian write them  down so you have them ready to go.

We would appreciate if payment was made prior to your session as this will give you more time to spend with your Dietitian. Payment can be made via direct deposit or PayPal. You will receive an email with the payment options.
